We are going into our third year with a great membership established. Puget Sound HOG currently has approximately 370 members supported by a very energetic board and a supportive Sound Harley-Davidson dealership. So if you are new to Harley or an old timer we have plenty of rides and activities for both.
We currently have rides scheduled for the second Sunday and fourth Saturday of every month and overnight rides scheduled through out the riding season, Chapter Picnic and end of year Holiday party. So if you're like most of us and like to ride, contact me or one of the board members for details.
We encourage our members to get involved so we established two new programs last year. One is the Member of the Year award members can earn for attending functions, meetings, and going on rides. The other is the Mileage Award which will help get everyone riding more miles. Both have $150 prizes for the winners at the end of the year and, anyone who is a Chapter member, can participate.
As a Chapter, we have decided to limit our fund raising and support two main charities each year. Poker runs and other fund raisers provide the monetary support and our membership participation is very praiseworthy. We support many activities in our Communities such as Night Out Against Crime and local food banks.
